Shi'ites Exposed

The two terms "ahlus-Sunnah[Sunnis] and "Shi'ah"[Shi'ites] need to be defined at this point.
Ahlus-Sunnah means literally "people of the established way or path". It refers to the majority of Muslims, who follow the Sunnah(way) of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, the Almighty.
The term Shi'ah is from the phrase Shi'atu Ali(adeherents to or party of Ali), by which this sect is known for the reason of its attachment to the idea of the pre-eminence of Ali ibn Abi Taalib and his descendants.
